Technology is often believed to be a tool that can promote teaching and learning and lead to the achievement of learners (Odette et al., 2018). The adoption of teaching and learning technology requires that teachers change their teaching practices (Pierce, Robyn et al., 2009).There is widespread recognition of the potential of digital technologies to enhance student mathematics learning, and the use of computers and graphics calculators is now encouraged or required throughout Australia by secondary school mathematics curriculum documents (Bennison, Anne, 2010). Many innovations have traditionally had a tremendous impact on learning and teaching. Only think of the technology of printing. Before books became available to vast segments of the population, mathematics learning was limited to very few people. (Flores Alfinio, 2002). In the scientific homeroom, usability of software threatens the way educators organize understudy training (Drijvers, Paul et al., 2010). Schools should also use technology to help teach mathematics and deepen understanding effectively as students embrace technology (Nisbet, Jordan, 2019). Technology can serve several roles in increasing mathematics knowledge of basic skills (Hudson S. et al., 2010). The use of technology tools in math teaching will help to improve problem- solving skills and math concepts comprehension (Hartsell T., et al., 2010). Davidson and Schofield (2002) that technology can help improve student performance but says it must be part of the restructuring efforts of the school. Most students enjoy using technology, and thus their attitudes towards computer-based instruction have been consistently positive. Many questions remain as to how to use technology most effectively in classrooms as a means of increasing student achievement and creating an environment that supports teachers in building the necessary knowledge |
