Introduction to project team management
The concept of management and its essential aspects
In the literature on the subject, the definition of management uses many different concepts and methods.
Therefore, nowadays it is difficult to formulate a single and recognized definition. Table 1 presents definitions from the
turn of the 20th century, developed by researchers such as R.W. Griffin, P. Drucker, and R. Caude and A. Moles.

The trick is to combine various resources available to a company, so it achieves its
goals with the maximum efficiency. Management should not be confused with
directing, which is the essence of decision-making. It is a set of activities aimed at
achieving positive financial results at the end of certain periods, the selection,
distribution and application of the company's resources, as well as any
relationships that it may have with other legal persons.
