There are many factors to consider before you start writing. In this learning pathway, we focus on five of them: audience, purpose, context, media, which will determine the language you use. In conclusion, materials, media, classroom activities, classroom management, teacher's strategy, and teacher's approach are factors that influence the students' writing skill.
18. Defined in simple terms, “authentic writing” is a phrase that describes writing for “real life” audiences and purposes. Examples might include asking students to write web text for a non-profit, proposals to granting agencies, letters to the editor, or pieces that will be submitted for publication.
Through authentic writing, students strengthen their voices, extend their thinking, and even become better readers. They learn to center themselves and notice their thoughts and surroundings, even if only briefly.
Authenticity connects writers to the outside world, inspires writing for a real audience, and ensures that students' voices are heard.

Interactive read-alouds allow us to construct knowledge with all students. During our time together, we consciously build relationships and create a community of collaboration. We can read books that students may not have the ability to read on their own, so the experience is both powerful and motivating.
