Students: 25 students, Pre- Intermediate level, aged 15-16
Aim: To learn Present perfect tense with ever and never on the context “William and Sam conversation”
Assumptions: Students understand most of the words in this chapter.
Resources and Materials: English in mind (2) Students’ book, pg 10,11 worksheets, text books, Projector,
Anticipated Problem: They might make too much noise in group discussion. Set the clear rules for group discussion and plus and minus system for class control.
Time: 55 mins
Interaction and Time

1	Shows the pictures of world famous places. Ask them “Have you ever been to this city/ these places?”	Tr-Ss	5 mins
2	Give the worksheets and let them write down whether they have ever done these or have never done. Eg. Have you ever eaten pasta? Have you ever done the diving in the sea?	Ss	5 mins
3	Students compare their answers in pairs and discuss their experiences.	Ss-Ss	5 mins
4	Students read the dialogues in pg 10.	Ss	2 mins
5	Students underline the present perfect tense from the dialogues. Check the answers in open class.	Ss	5 mins
6	Take two sentences from the given text and write them on the board. “Have you ever done anything like this before?” “I’ve never taken a risk in my life” Do the drilling. Check their pronunciation and intonation. Write down the form Have + Sub+ ever+ Vparticiple+……? Sub + have+ never+ Vparticiple +…… Yes, Sub+ have. No, Sub + haven’t.	Tr-Ss	8 mins
7	Students do the exercise on pg 11. Then they will switch the books and check their partners’ answers together with teacher.	Ss Ss-Ss Tr-Ss	10 mins
8	Put the students in small groups. Give the worksheet with ten sentences in it. Let them write the questions, negative and short answers for each sentences.	Ss- Ss	10 mins
9	The group which finish the first with all correct answers will be the winner. In open class check the answers together with the students.	Ss- Ss Tr-Ss	5 mins
