INTRODUCTION (abstract of the PhD thesis)


The aim of the research work is to improve the teaching of terminological lexicon in increasing the professional competence of students of the robotics direction.
The object of the research work is the process of developing professional competence of students of higher educational institutions of the robotics direction using the study of lexical terminology in English was obtained.
The scientific novelty of the study consists in the following.
- the methodology of teaching terminological lexicon in professional-oriented English has been improved by the formation of an effective system of exercises for students using innovative pedagogical technologies on the basis of the integration of speech skills;
- on the basis of ensuring the development of lexical skills in professional-oriented English of students, a typology of terms of robotics has been compiled and statistical, methodological and linguistic criteria have been developed in the selection of a terminological minimum;
- an educational model has been developed, which aims to increase professional competence by teaching terminological lexicon to students through the comparative analysis and comparison of differential characteristics of terms on authentic materials and technical context
- developed set of special (colloquial) skills and language materials that represent areas of activity, topics, situations, speech actions and speech materials of students, professional situations as a communicative tool aimed at professional activity and development of professional competence in teaching English to future specialists;
