The structure of dissertation. This study consists of three chapters, general conclusions and a list of used literature.
Results obtained:
1. The toponyms and their types are widely covered by various linguist scientists;
2. The peculiar and similar aspects of the Uzbek and English folk tales were found out;
3. The names and historical names of the two folk tales were not only semantically-structured, but also lingua-cultural features exist.
General summary and recommendations. The results of the study of geographical and historical names in the English and Uzbek folk tale give the following general conclusions:
1. In the people's fairy tales, names of objects have a higher proportion of livestock than the names of the people. .
2. The most effective method of generating geographical and historical names is the method of onomastic conversion and composition.
3. Collecting and studying the toponyms in national fairy tales gives valuable information not only for the field of onomastics, but also for English and Uzbek historical lexicology, dialectology, as well as for ethnology, sociology, and linguistic sciences.
