INTRODUCTION (abstract of the PhD dissertation)
The aim of the research work is analysis, theoretical justification, as well as
the practical development of a paradigm-competence-based approach using
reflection and self-reflection technologies with modern criteria for the professional
competence of a teacher on the basis of Common European standards.
The object of the research is the process of organizing advanced training
courses for primary English teachers.
The scientific novelty of the research work is the following:
through multiple triangulation, the critical factors of procedural content and
reflective-communicative structural components, based
on the experience of
learning foreign languages at the initial stage, which serve to increase the
reliability of the validity period and the results of empirical
research, are identified;
by identifying the components of the paradigm approach of the mechanism
for improving the professional competence of primary school English teachers on
the basis of the methodological and content requirements for the organization of
advanced training courses, the skills of reflection, self-reflection, motivational
training, and the development of internal potential in
teaching English in primary
education have been improved;
based on the effectiveness of the introduction of positive motivational,
reflexive and communicative components of scientific and
didactic support for the
system of methodological support and advanced training of primary school
teachers, a typology of reflexive circular, cooperative and
personally reflexive
activities is proposed as an alternative method for advanced training for primary
school teachers;
recommendations for integrating the most effective methods of the
components of the reflective technology of methodological and didactic support,
aimed at improving the programs of advanced training
courses for primary school
English teachers based on the use of reflection and self-reflection methods have
been developed.
