Symbol (Arabic - to indicate), conditional method of artistic representation of reality 
in fiction. The method of symbolic representation widely used in folk art and classical 
literature is still used today as we have seen above. In fiction, such symbols serve to make 
the work more readable.

ANTICORRUPTION POLICY IN UZBEKISTAN:ACHIEVEMENTS AND FURTHER 
CHALLENGES

Abstract: To combat corruption,Uzbekistan has taken various measures and made 
reformation in legal framework of anti-
corruption policy.The Country implemented law “On 
Anti-
Corruption”.The law became basis in the fight against corruption in Uzbekistan.The 
Government organized anti-corruption awareness and training programmes.Modern 
technologies began to be more widely used in the process.The Government took steps to 
improve the openness of administration and policymaking.Uzbekistan initiated new reforms 
in tax area in order to prevent corruption in tax administration.As a result of all these 
attempts,international reputation of Uzbekistan in combating corruption improved.There are 
problems that prevents to use full potential to fight against bribery.They are low transparency 
of governance and specific cultural norms.

Introduction: Since independence, Corruption has been major problem that hinders 
the overall development of Uzbekistan. Because corruption is rampant in this 
country,Administration of President elected in 2016,Shavkat Mirziyoyev has made 
fundamental reforms in the field of fighting against bribery. 
These Government actions improved the anticorruption system of the country and 
allowed to improve its position in corruption perception index.Furthermore,reforms in 
liberalization and free speech gave citezens opportunity to gave their opinion in this 
regard.This article is going to discuss these positive changes in the country. 
However,Uzbekistan is facing great obstacles to combat bribery.This is associated 
with weakness of law implementation in the country among human discretion in lawmaking 
process.This article will further explains these challenges as well as analyse the causes of 
the obstacles.
