The effective ways of teaching reading by using books

Level: A1-A2 level students
Topic: Development of reading through interaction
LESSON PLAN
Reading task
What follows in this regard is a lesson plan, which designed for students in primary and secondary schools (1-4 grades). Students in the class ranging in age from seven to eleven. The native languages of class are Uzbek and Russian. The level varies from elementary to beginner.

  1. Goal

Students will be able to explore new words by developing their lexicon. Due to these activities and materials, which students will discover, they will increase the mental and reading activity. This Lesson plan will have nine objectives (terminal and enabling), which will show the process and structure of the lesson. The Lesson plan has the part which explains the main idea of the lesson, types of material and variety of activities.

  1. Objectives

Terminal objectives:

  • Students will develop their outlook by playing books and solving activities, which will influence positively to their desire for learning;

  • Students will gather the necessary information about the topic «Animals» and then each child will increase the level of knowledge about world of animals;

  • Students will be supported by teacher. If students feel uncomfortable or not able to solve the question, teacher will monitor the whole class and help to them.

Enabling objectives:
 Each student will able to solve quizzes, which will be connected with topic of «Animals» and due to the quizzes will gather the points;
Student will have the ability to determine the correct type of animal and its family;
During the lesson, students will be able to make small conversations and dialogues according to topic and exercise;
During the lesson there will be showed a cartoon, according to the topic. Due to this cartoon students will increase the level of listening;
Student will listen the simple audio materials. By these materials students will gather the information and increase the range of lexicon;
Towards the end of the lesson students will gather the points, then they will receive marks from 4 to 5.
