𝑴𝒙 = ∑ 𝑓𝑥 𝑁 Where: Mx =Students’average fx = Students’ score N = Number of students Then to know the percentage of students in’ observation sheet, the researcher used the formula by AnasSudijono (2018:43): P= 𝒇 𝒏 x 100% Which: P : Percentage F : Frequency N: Number of sample FINDING AND DISCUSSION This research conducted in three weeks in one cycle , the researcher did not continoue to the next cycle because 80 % of the students can answer the r esearcher’s questions about the vocabulary . It means that the target of the researcher achieve, 20 students achieve the KKM. The finding of the research shown that strategy like teach vocabulary words before a new activity can help the students to improve students’ vocabulary. It could be seen from the result of students’ task and could answer the questions from the teacher. 10 students got 100, 5 students got 90 5 students got 80,3 students got 60 and 2 students got 50. The reseracher agreed with Linse’s statement.Linse (2005) said that the strategy teaching vocabulary words before new activity can stimulate students to learn the word and the meaning of word. It means that the students could guee the meaning of the vocabulary after they use this strategy. Also, this strategy made the students ease to remember the meaning of the words. In addition, the children felt more attractive and happy during the process teaching and learning process.
