Declarative process modelling
Designed methodology concept helps to implement the Business Strategy Creator based
on business process linguistic modelling. The concept has been divided into the following
steps:
3.1
Modelling of superior core business process and subordinated core
business process running within strategic management level provided
based on the following issue:
Let us consider the superior core business process CBS (0, I), which corresponds to the
firm or company mission statement, e.g. Utility Glass Production (UGP), represented by
{CBS (0, I)} linguistic set, where 0 – indicates a root within business process (BP)
hierarchy and also represents the strategic management level as well as a number of
subordinated core business process running within strategic management level. This is the
principle and outgoing issue for further considerations.
3.2
Determination of superior core and subordinated business process
internal and external metrics
The goal of any selected core business process (BP) is to generate pre-defined outputs
based on appropriate inputs, while the pre-defined outputs related to any of the above-
mentioned selected business processes contribute to aggregated total KPI indicator,
denoted as KPI (0), which corresponds to superior core business process CB (0, I) too. On
the other hand, for any business process is an appropriate metrics assigned, while the pre-
defined outputs represent so called BP External Metrics. The External Metrics items and
values are being postulated with respect to BP Functions, which any superior or
subordinated consists of and with respect to appropriate solution of PBPL Equation.
However, any business process consists of adequate BP Functions (BPF) F (I, 1), F (I,
2)… …. F (I, m
1
) (m
1 –
number of BPF, the actual business process consists of), while any
BPF is responsible for transformation of inputs into pre/defined outposts and an adequate
metrics is assigned to them as well. This type of metrics is denoted as a BP Internal
Metrics. In the next sections of that contribution, we shall have a look at both of the
abovementioned metrics types, while they will be represented by appropriate linguistic
sets, having predefined structure and features and correspond to an adequate solution of
PBPL Equation.
3.3
Quantification of superior and subordinated business processes and
determination of appropriate KPI indicators
Any business process is determined by its own internal and external metrics

, which is
closely related to BP performance and plays a role of principal importance from BP
2
The problems of business process metrics and its meaning for BP modelling at various
management levels will be discussed with further sections of that material.

structure and functionality point of view, while the BP linguistic modelling principles will
be applied for those purposes.
3.4
Business Process Linguistic Modelling Strategy Creator design
Business Process Linguistic Modelling Strategy Creator (hereinafter known as BP-LM
Strategy Creator) creates an integral part of Business Process Linguistic Modelling
Application Program System (hereinafter known as BP-LM-AP System), which
corresponds to Semantic Technology – Business Process Linguistic Modelling - Expert
