«YOUTH – DRIVING FORCE OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND SOCIETY»
October 25-26, 2019 skills, strengthening of pedagogical and general professional competencies of future teachers of geography. Along with this, the importance of a competence-based approach to conducting a modern lesson is noted. Competence approach is a multidimensional concept, which includes geographical competence and environmental competence. The implementation of the competence-based approach during the period of pedagogical practice is among the complex innovations such as core education, network cooperation, and public-public education. All participants of the educational process should be involved in this process: dean's office, students, teachers, school management, subject teachers, students and their parents [5, 87 pp.]. In this regard, it is necessary to develop a general model of an integrated educational process based on a competence-based approach, which can become the basis for the joint work of the school and the university in the training of qualified personnel. The practice of vocational and pedagogical training shows that only the efforts of teachers of psychological and pedagogical disciplines without the active work of students in their professional development do not ensure an adequate level of readiness of graduates of pedagogical institutes to perform their socially and professionally determined functions. And professional development, in turn, is doomed to have an insignificant effect if there is no clear idea in the minds of students about the specific features of the teaching profession as a whole and individual pedagogical specialties, if from the first year future teachers are not focused on a holistic vision of the pedagogical process and their place. Based on the above, the pedagogical practice of future teachers of geography is an informatively important period of the formation of a teacher - geographer. REFERENCES: 1. Shishkin L.Yu.
