MUSIQA ASBOBLARI (Eng. Musical instruments) – All the representatives of the Temurids and the Baburids paid great attention to music in their time. Hence, music rose on its top during the period of the Temurids, in its turn crafting musical instruments too.
During the period musical instruments as drum and pipe were used mostly in military purposes, especially they were used to declare the beginning and ending of the battle. The other musical instruments as tambourine, harp, “ghijjak”, nai, dutar, tambur, rubab, setar, sato and other musical instrument used to amuse parties, welcoming guests and other ceremonies. The only source of information on the musical instrument of that time is miniatures. For instance, the painting “Sulton Husayin saroyida bazm (the party in the palace of Sultan Husain)” by Bekhzad depicts a musician playing harp for guests. In the picture “Bag’da bazm(The Party in the Garden)” depicts musicians playing dutar, harp, chiltar, long nai. In the miniature called “Boysung’ur Mirzo qabulida (In the Receiption of Baisunghar Mirza)” there were drown musicians playing chiltar, harp, two handled ghijjak and four handled ghijjak for guests.
There were placed lots of musical instruments in the exhibition of the museum of Temurids museum. (They were crafted by Abdumalik Madraimov, a craftsman from Andijan).

He once produced a wonderful air on the flute, at one of Badi'u'z-zaman Mirza's assemblies; Qul-i-muhammad could not reproduce it on the guitar, so declared this a worthless instrument; Shaikhi “Nayi”at once took the guitar from Qul-i-muhammad's hands and played the air on it, well and in perfect tune. They say he was so expert in music that having once heard an air, he was able to say, "This or that is the tune of so-and-so's or so-and-so's flute."[1167] He composed few works; one or two airs are heard of.” [“B”, on the folio 171 a; 182 a] In some records Babur was described as composer who played “chorgoh”, and also informed that he wrote a book “Musiqiy ilmi (The knowledge of Music)”.
