The aim of our theme is to identify factors that play an important part in influencing classroom atmosphere and introduce some interesting activities aimed at improving and creating English classroom atmosphere in English lessons detecting their contribution regarding this aim. The research aims at identifying factors that play an important part in influencing classroom atmosphere and introduce some interesting activities aimed at improving and creating English classroom atmosphere in English lessons detecting their contribution regarding this aim.
Aim the subject of the theme is teaching speaking activities in the EFL classroom and techniques to promote problem solving and decision making skills through different speaking activities. Also different aspect of evaluation of speaking is going to be discussed, such as fluency and accuracy. Different ways of error correction is also one of the main parts of this research paper.
The task of theme:
- to integrate speaking activities into the language classroom which was previously based on grammar –translation approach.
-to discuss the problems of current situation in teaching English;
-to study how to improve the situation;
-to study how to make class atmosphere;
-to study how to make positive classroom environment;
- to study freedom of speech.
Speaking English is different from writing English, because while we are writing, we have time to think whether a word is appropriate, if the tenses are correct and so on. While speaking English, we don’t. We need to be able to use the correct tenses and choose the correct words and phrases unconsciously.
Nobody is able to speak English well without tremendous amount of practice. But the fact is that many people are not so luck that they have an English-speaking environment. That is why I came out with this topic today. I think one of the solutions to this problem is to try to talk English to ourselves.
This is quite a good method, because with this method you can practice spoken English at any time. If you do practice your spoken English very often, you won’t be so nervous while you really speak English to other people.
I chose this topic for my graduation project paper because during my teaching how important English classroom atmosphere is in English language learning, and that teachers can do quite a lot in English lessons to improve it.
