Seasons
Every year has twelve months. They are: January, February, March, April, June, July, August, September, October, November, December. There are four weeks in a month and seven days in a week. The weekdays are: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Every month has thirty or thirty one days, only February has twenty nine days. There are four season in a year: winter, spring, summer, autumn. Winter is the coldest season of the year. Winter days are short, nights are long. It is cold. Winter is white. There is much snow on the ground. Children like winter. They can ski, skate and play snowballs with their friends. It’s getting warmer in spring. March, April and May are spring months. The weather is often sunny. Birds come back in spring and sing their songs. Summer is the hottest season of the year. June, July and August are summer months. The days are long and the nights are short. People like summer. Summer is beautiful. The trees are green; there are many flowers in the parks and forests. September, October, November are autumn months. It is getting cold in autumn, but it is beautiful. It is green, yellow, orange, brown and red. Autumn is a harvest time. There are many fruit and vegetables. It is often cold and cloudy. Sometimes it rains. Birds fly away because they have nothing to eat.
