• It is the policy of RTI to respect all computer software copyrights and adhere to the terms of all software license agreements to which RTI is a party. RTI computer users may not illegally duplicate any RTI-licensed software or related documentation for use either on RTI premises or elsewhere. RTI does not condone the illegal duplication of software and will not tolerate it. Any RTI user who knowingly and intentionally makes, acquires, or uses unauthorized copies of software will be disciplined as appropriate under the circumstances, up to and including termination of employment. • Any computer on RTI’s private network must meet standard security requirements. Installation of personally owned software on RTI equipment is prohibited. Confidentiality All employees must comply with RTI’s rules regarding confidentiality. Detailed rules are set out in the employee’s statement of terms and conditions of employment, and a signed confidentiality agreement is required from each employee. Uzbekistan LN Employee Handbook February 2020 12 Conflicts of Interest RTI fully respects the rights of RTI personnel to privacy in their personal affairs and financial activities. However, RTI personnel have a duty to avoid situations in which financial or other personal considerations may affect, or have the appearance of affecting, one’s professional judgment in exercising one’s duties or responsibilities, or in conducting or reporting research. This policy provides guidance to RTI personnel to help them manage, in accordance with this policy, situations in their personal affairs and financial activities that may appear to conflict with their responsibilities to RTI and its clients. RTI personnel should promptly disclose the circumstances of any situation that might be covered by this policy. A conflict of interest arises when your personal interests or activities appear to influence your ability to act in RTI’s best interest. A conflict of interest situation can arise when you take on outside work or make financial investments that make it difficult for you to perform RTI work objectively and effectively. This would include situations or relationships that could inappropriately lead to personal financial gain, adversely affect the professional advancement of your colleagues, create the appearance of partiality, or otherwise impair objectivity or inject inappropriate consideration into administrative decisions. It is impossible to list every situation in which such conflicts could occur, but the following are examples of where conflicts of interest may exist. Download 243.52 Kb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
