Аннотация. Современные мультимедийные технологии ведут к изменению содержания 
образования, пересмотру методов и форм организации учебного процесса и способствуют 
развитию коммуникативной компетенции учащихся на уроках английского языка. В этой 
статье освещается использование таких программ, как Google Drive и его приложения, 
интернет-ресурсы и Kahoot.com, которые могут сделать уроки более интересными и 
эффективными.

Abstract. Modern multimedia technologies lead to a change in the content of education, a 
revision of the methods and forms of organizing the educational process and contribute to the 
development of students’ communicative competence in English lessons. This article highlights the 
use of programs such as Google Drive and its applications, Internet resources and Kahoot.com, 
which can make the lessons more interesting and effective.

The current goal in teaching foreign languages is the development of students’ communicative 
competence. In order to reach the outcome, teachers need to use various methods and approaches and 
integrate modern multimedia technologies to expand the learning process, make it more effective, 
involving most of the student's sensory components in the process of perceiving educational 
information. Multimedia technologies are associated with computer processing and presentation of 
various types of information, which affects the effectiveness of the educational process. The 
introduction of multimedia tools into the learning process entails the emergence of new software tools 
and requires their content in the development of new teaching methods. 
Multimedia technologies (from the English multimedia - a multicomponent environment) are 
programs that allow the use of text, graphics, videos and animation in an interactive mode.
