DATA ANALYSIS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL MATHEMATICS: A CASE STUDY WITH 30 STUDENTS IN A TURKISH CLASSROOM

ABSTRACT
This paper presents a case study of data analysis in middle school mathematics with a focus on a Turkish classroom with 30 students. The study aimed to explore the effectiveness of data analysis as a teaching strategy (data–driven instruction) in middle school mathematics and its impact on students’ understanding of the subject. The study used a mixed–methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis techniques. Results showed that data analysis had a positive impact on students’ mathematical understanding and skills, particularly in areas related to statistics and probability. The study provides insights into the potential of data analysis as a pedagogical tool in middle school mathematics and offers recommendations for future research and practice.

АННОТАЦИЯ
Ushbu maqolada 30 o'quvchidan iborat turk sinfiga e'tibor qaratilib, o'rta maktab matematikasi bo'yicha ma'lumotlar tahlili misolida keltirilgan. Tadqiqot o'rta maktab matematikasida o'qitish strategiyasi (ma'lumotlarga asoslangan ko'rsatma) sifatida ma'lumotlarni tahlil qilish samaradorligini va uning o'quvchilarning mavzuni tushunishiga ta'sirini o'rganishga qaratilgan. Tadqiqotda miqdoriy va sifatli ma'lumotlarni yig'ish va tahlil qilish usullarini birlashtirgan aralash usullardan foydalanildi. Natijalar shuni ko'rsatdiki, ma'lumotlarni tahlil qilish o'quvchilarning matematik tushunchasi va ko'nikmalariga ijobiy ta'sir ko'rsatdi, ayniqsa statistika va ehtimollik bilan bog'liq. Tadqiqot o'rta maktab matematikasida pedagogik vosita sifatida ma'lumotlarni tahlil qilish imkoniyatlari haqida tushuncha beradi va kelajakdagi tadqiqot va amaliyot uchun tavsiyalar beradi.
