Textbook, the DVD of the book, flashcards describing toys Activity 1 Look, listen and tick. Objectives: to develop listening and oral abilities; to recycle the toys Before the test, hang the flashcards with toys on the blackboard. Have the pupils repeat their names and colours in chorus. Use the structure “This is a balloon. It‟s pink.” Ask “What‟s this?” pointing to the flashcard, and then ask the pupils how they can say “Mening koptogim bor / У меня есть мяч” in English. After getting the answer “I‟ve got a ball” have the pupils repeat it in chorus. After practising all the words and structures, you may ask the pupils to open the books. Ask the pupils to look at the picture number 1 closely. Discuss the picture 1 with the pupils and find out what they are and what colour they are in mother tongue. They are a blue ball, a red ball and a blue balloon. Then ask the pupils if they remember the names of these things and their colours in English. After that, explain the task: you will describe an object, and they have to guess what object you are describing. When the pupils find the right object, they put a tick under a corresponding picture.
