MAHMUDHON LO’DIY (or Sulton Mahmud) Eng. Mahmud-Khan Ludi)) –He was one of the emirs of India. He was brother of Ibrahim Ludi. Rona Sango admitted him as the legal heir of the Delhi crown. He participated in the battle of Panipat. He joined to Rona Sango with his 12 horsemen to revenge for his brother in the war against Babur. He saved his life in the Battle of Kanwa, and escaped to Bengalia to the palace of Nasrat-Shah where he continued fight against Babur accompanied with Nasrat Shah. He conquered Bihar and seized the fortress, Kunar. But later Kunar fortress was set free by Askari and Bihar by Babur himself. Babur completely collapsed the army of Mahmud-Khan on May 6, of 1529 in the battle near the Gagra river [“B”, on folio.374 b]. Mahmud-Khan struggled for the throne of Delhi even after death of Babur. So Humayun won him in the battle in 1532 by which he completely annihilated the dynasty of the Ludies.

MAHMUD NUHONIY (or G’ozipuriy), Eng. Mahmud Nuhani) – He was one of the local emirs of India. Mahmud Khan Nuhani accepted Babur’s reign when Babur conquered Delhi kingdom and began service with faith. Babur gave him a part of the profit from Nishapur province. He participated wars against Junpur and Kunar forts [“B”, on folio. 378 a].

MAHMUDXON SERVANIY (Eng. Mahmud-Khan Sarwani) – He was son of Fath Khan Serwani. Both of them were under service of Babur. [“B”, on folio 303 a]
MAHMUDXON XONIJAHON (Eng. Mahmud Khan Khanijahan) – He was one of the chiefs of Patkhan tribe of Afghan people. Babur separated for him lands around Lahur. He returned to Kabul by the request of Babur and participated in the march against Alam Khan Ludi who wanted to conquer Delhi [“B”, on folio 256 a].

MAHOFA (or Muhaffa, mihaffa) – It is an Arabic word for “a specially installed vehicle to carry noble man and honoured” It just looked like to stretcher and carried by men [“B’, on folio 162 a].

MAHUBA – It is a place name presently situated in the state Uttar-Pradesh, India. Shaikh Bayazid and Biban stopped there when they revolted against Babur. But they escaped hearing that Babur went out towards the place [“B”, on folio.379 b].
