CHAPTER - 6 128 Coordination with local government is vital. There may be scope to coordinate with KMK and ALRI at the local level to avoid duplication and maximize use of limited resources. The implementation of the new Water Sector Strategy is expected to facilitate such coordination. Creation of the sector-wide Water Sector Resource Center that will serve as a one-stop shop for all water related data (access, funding, performance, investment etc.), along with useful mapping of all water resources, projects and other data to help better plan and coordinate interventions across water sector. A slew of measures need to be designed to ensure reliable statistical platform in water sector is created that minimizes distortions in water sector performance, reporting and operations.
