Workplace Violence Prevention
It is the policy of RTI to maintain a safe work environment and to reduce the risk and threats of violence. RTI does not tolerate any type of workplace violence or threats of violence committed by or against its employees. Contractors, vendors, visitors and customers are expected to exhibit nonviolent and nonthreatening behavior while on RTI property, during RTI sponsored events, and while conducting business for or with RTI. Any employee found to be responsible for threats and/or acts of violence will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination. In addition, RTI shall, as it deems appropriate, report violations to law enforcement officials and seek legal sanctions against any individual who violates this policy. RTI prohibits the possession of weapons by any employee, contractor, vendor, customer or visitor while on RTI-owned or controlled premises or in vehicles owned or rented by RTI. Employees and contractors are also prohibited from carrying a weapon while performing services for RTI on or off RTI premises. This prohibition applies regardless of whether the owner is licensed to carry such weapon, with the exception of law enforcement officers on RTI property in the line of duty and RTI security personnel or contractors specifically required to carry weapons as part of their job. Appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination, will be taken against any employee who violates this policy. Ethics It is the policy of RTI to maintain an open and accountable environment that fosters the highest standards of conduct. RTI has an envied reputation for quality and integrity based on the collective reputation of its staff. RTI maintains an open and accountable environment that fosters the continuation of this outstanding reputation. RTI management will deal honestly and in good faith at all times with employees and will encourage open and frank communications, free from the fear of reprisal, concerning the upholding of these standards. RTI’s standards of ethical conduct are summarized in the RTI Code of Conduct. RTI’s Code of Conduct is available at: http://staffnet.rti.org/services/ethics/code.cfm . All employees are required to annually review and acknowledge compliance with the Code of Conduct as a condition of continued employment with RTI. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. RTI maintains an anonymous Ethics Helpline as a dedicated confidential phone line directly to the RTI Chief Ethics Officer. You can access the Helpline worldwide via the telephone numbers Uzbekistan LN Employee Handbook February 2020 21 set forth in the back of the RTI Code of Conduct. The RTI ethics office also has a dedicated ethics e-mail address ( ethics@rti.org ). The Helpline and ethics e-mail provide a means through which RTI employees can seek advice and guidance on the RTI Code of Conduct and RTI policies and procedures, as well as a means to ensure that instances of improper conduct or other irregularities are reported, investigated and resolved. Reports of suspected ethics violations will be investigated and, if a violation is confirmed, appropriate action will be taken. That action may include disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Further detail regarding reporting logistics and procedure is located in the RTI Code of Conduct. RTI does not allow retaliation against an employee for reporting a suspected violation. Employees who engage in retaliatory behavior will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. It is the employee’s obligation to report known or suspected violations of the Code of Conduct or RTI Policies and Procedures. If an employee fails to report a known violation, he or she could be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. If an employee knowingly submits a false report, the employee will also be subject to such disciplinary action. Download 243.52 Kb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
